A field study in mark making and materials explored in a small page format.
Working with multiple small pages all at once allows us to explore without attachment to outcomes and expand rapidly on process and concepts.
We will be working with 300gsm watercolour paper allowing for multiple mediums to be used on an approximate A6 format.
By working with several cards at once you intuitively follow narratives that organically flow from the ‘doing’ process, remaining present with the materials and where they lead you with a continuous echo of ‘what if’ in your mind.
This process of working frees your creativity without all the overthinking.
You will discover more of what you are drawn to and therefore develop more of your own personal style.
Lets begin with a quick scout of our surroundings, pick up or photograph what draws your eye.
This could be simple tones, textures, colours, shapes, repetitions, lines, natural objects of leaf or stone.
Best to tune into what attracts you, not why. These inspirations will be the starting point for your explorations on the Wild Pages.
