2026 EXHIBITION APPLICATIONS OPEN
Tactile Arts invites proposals for our 2026 Exhibition Program from artists and collectives across all mediums, styles, and career stages. We welcome applications for solo and group exhibitions from local, remote, national, and international artists, whether emerging or established. Both commercial and non-commercial projects are encouraged.
Our program embraces the diversity of traditional and contemporary visual arts and crafts, showcasing everything from painting, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, photography, and jewellery, to experimental, mixed-media, and interdisciplinary works.
In addition to our main gallery space, artists have the unique opportunity to utilise part of our changing shop space to complement their exhibition with smaller works, retail items, or interactive components.
Tactile Arts is committed to supporting artists at every stage of their creative journey, providing a professional platform for innovation, experimentation, and community engagement. Tactile Arts encourages and supports artists to complement their exhibitions with public programs either through artist talks, demonstrations and workshops if this is of interest to them.
Submissions should clearly outline the exhibition's intent and works to be displayed. While the quality and clarity of the proposal are the primary criteria for selection, the scheduling of other events throughout the year will also be considered. A committee of Tactile Arts staff and curators will review all applications. If your proposal is accepted, you will receive an exhibition contract. Successful applicants are encouraged to apply for the Quick Response Grant with Arts NT.
Please read our Tactile Arts - Gallery Hire Terms of Agreement (2026) provided below prior to submitting an application.
Submissions must be made via the link below.
Please contact us, at programs@tactilearts.org.au or 08 8981 6616 if you would like to discuss your proposal, or if you have any questions about our exhibition program.
