The Wild North

A Group Exhibition

A collaborative exhibition of four Darwin artists with different artistic passions; Ceramics, Mosaic, Painting and Jewellery. Louise Brown, Tracey Campbell, Tammie Coyne and Frances Ricketts are long time Darwin residents who love life in the Top End. -The Wild North-explores our land of extremes, of ancient palm forests, billabongs with prehistoric wild crocodiles, stone country and waterless isolation. Amongst the hot, humid conditions and vast undeveloped expanses there is peace and beauty. Port town Darwin, the happy go lucky town where hunting for buffalo or croc skins or jumping on a pearl lugger were everyday pastimes for local folk. Darwin today still has the casual and friendly nature of its wild early days
