TERRitory rising
Exhibition from Youth Artists
As part of NT Youth Week 2026, Tactile Arts is proud to present Territory Rising—a vibrant and inspiring exhibition celebrating the next generation of creative voices across the Northern Territory. Showcasing artists aged 12 to 25, this exhibition highlights the depth of talent, perspective, and cultural expression emerging from young people in our community.
This year’s exhibition has transformed the gallery into a dynamic and powerful space, filled with incredible works that demonstrate not only creativity, but an outstanding level of skill, dedication, and vision. We extend our sincere thanks to the many young creatives who have contributed their work—your passion and artistic excellence are what make this exhibition truly remarkable.
Territory Rising is more than an exhibition; it is a platform for growth, connection, and opportunity. Through participation, artists gain real-world experience, build confidence in their practice, and engage with peers in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Tactile Arts remains committed to fostering youth engagement in the arts, nurturing emerging talent, and supporting the development of leadership and belonging within our creative community.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to Cormac Young, who joined us for a week-long work placement and played a valuable role in the curation, installation, and preparation of this exhibition. His enthusiasm, dedication, and contribution were greatly appreciated.
We warmly invite you to celebrate with us at the Exhibition Closing Party on Friday 10 April, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Join us for an evening of live music and entertainment from talented youth performers, along with nibbles and a shared celebration of this extraordinary exhibition.
Territory Rising is proudly presented as part of NT Youth Week 2026 and is proudly sponsored by the Northern Territory Government.
