Terms and Conditions 2026
This agreement outlines the mutual expectations of both parties prior to and during the Looking Ahead -2026 Members Exhibition.
Residency Requirement: Participants must currently reside in the Northern Territory.
Eligibility to Enter: This exhibition is open to individuals 16 years and over, on the date the applications close. A parent or guardian is required to complete the application form for anyone under 18 years of age.
Membership: Applicant must be a Tactile Arts current Member.
Time frame: Artworks must have been completed within the last 12 months of the application closing date.
Submission Limit: Members are eligible to submit maximum 2 artworks.
Submission Deadline: Entries must be submitted by Friday 23 October 2026 11:59PM (ACST). No late entries will be accepted.
Submission Fee: The 2026 Members Exhibition will continue to prioritize accessibility and inclusivity by waiving all submission fees.
Commission: A 30% commission will be deducted from the sale price of each artwork sold.
Medium Diversity:
The Members Exhibition welcomes a diverse range of arts and crafts practices, materials, and approaches. Artists are encouraged to explore their chosen medium through creative, considered, and skilful processes.

AI-generated artwork is not eligible.
Size Restrictions (2D): Two-dimensional (2D) works must not exceed 1,3 m (w), including framing.
Size Restrictions (3D): Three-dimensional (3D) artwork must not exceed 9kg, including mounting, fixings, and base. 3D artworks must not exceed a total of 3 pieces.
Display Readiness: All artworks must be ready for display if selected for the exhibition (e.g. paper artworks must be framed or mat-boarded with appropriate hanging elements). Artworks failing this requirement will not be included in the exhibition.
Application notification: Members will be notified by Thursday 29 October if their application has been successful.
Delivery Deadline: Successful artworks must be delivered by between Friday 30 October and Friday 6 November to Tactile Arts Office (19 Conacher Street, The Gardens NT 0820). Delivery hours are between 10am and 2pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
Members are responsible for packaging, freight, and insurance costs of their artworks to and from Tactile Arts, 19 Conacher Street, The Gardens, NT, 0810.
All delivered artworks will be held for the duration of the exhibition and will not be available to collect until Saturday 5 December.
Exhibition: Tactile Arts reserves the right to consider, but not necessarily exhibit all submitted artworks. Successful artworks will feature in the exhibition held in the Tactile Art Gallery from Saturday 14 November to Friday 4 December 2026.
Insurance: Members are recommended to insure their work against loss or damage. Members are responsible for their own transit security.
Sales Requirement: If an artwork is available for sale, the Member must include the sale price in the entry form. The listed price must be inclusive of GST and account for Tactile Arts’ 30% commission. Please note that artworks are not required to be for sale; Members may choose to exhibit works that are not available for purchase.
Application Process: Members must submit a fully completed online application form after reading the Terms and Conditions.
Collection of Works (after exhibition): All unsold works must be collected between Saturday 5 December and Saturday 19 December 2026 between 10am and 2pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
For works being shipped or couriered, please liaise with Tactile Arts staff to arrange. Shipping costs are at the cost of the Member.
Sold Works: All sold works must be collected by the buyer or their agent from 19 Conacher Street, The Gardens, NT, 0820. Where artworks cannot be collected in person, the buyer must communicate with Tactile Arts to organise work postage. The freight will be at the cost of the buyer.
Copyright, reproduction, and permissions: The Member warrants that the artwork does not infringe any copyright, moral rights, intellectual property rights, or other rights of any third party. The Member remains the copyright owner of the artwork and will be acknowledged as the creator of the artwork at all times.
The artwork will be documented for archival and educational purposes by Tactile Arts.
By entering an artwork in Looking Ahead – Members Exhibition 2026, the Member grants Tactile Arts a non-exclusive, non-commercial, perpetual, licence to freely use, reproduce, publish and communicate the selected artwork for publicity, promotional and educational purposes associated with the Award in print and digital media.
The Member grants Tactile Arts permission to provide the media with photos and information about the artwork and Member for the purpose of promoting or reporting on the exhibition.
Privacy Policy: Tactile Arts is committed to ensuring the safety and security of personal data. Tactile Arts will only ask for data that is required to fulfil the application process. This information is stored on third party website (Airtable). Please read and access the individual websites Privacy Statement for further information.
Code of Conduct: Members are expected to comply with Tactile Arts Code of Conduct. Any antisocial behaviour may result in an application being denied.
