The Darwin Fused Glass Group (formally known as 'I-Slump') will be held on the third Sunday of each month, 10am to 2pm, starting on the 16th Feb 2020. The venue will be Tactile Arts in the glass studio. Please note that there may be some changes to dates due to the holding of glass workshops or craft fairs.
Darwin Fused Glass Group is an open group for all interested glass artists with monthly meeting held at Tactile Arts. The group is open to anyone interested in working with glass. There is no tutoring however members do help each other with ideas and suggestions and can assist with the use of the kiln. All that is required is that you have completed a basic glass course and know how to cut glass.
It costs $10 to attend - all the money collected goes to Tactile Arts for the use of the facilities (No funds are retained by Darwin Fused Glass Group). Any attendees who wish to use the Tactile Arts Glass kiln will need to book the kiln directly with Tactile Arts. Cost is usually shared by the people using the kiln. Darwin fused glass group has a number of people who are qualified to use the kiln and will be able to assist you firing your work.You will need to bring your own glass cutter and your glass projects to work on. Some glass equipment is available to use in the studio.
