Learn to silver solder in this popular workshop, making a sterling silver gemstone ring or pendant. Choose a gemstone from a variety of semi precious stones, such as turquoise, malachite, amethyst, agate, jasper and many more stones.
Choose a decorative or plain style, add twist trim or fabricated balls, then solder, file and polish your ring or pendant to completion.
Participants will receive an email before the class with instructions on the soldering process and safety in the studio. They will be given a demonstration and guided through the techniques by the tutor.
This activity uses butane gas powered, hand held torches which are simple and easy to use on small jewellery pieces.
Come and enjoy a crafting experience in jewellery making. Please tie long hair back and wear enclosed shoes. Safety glasses are provided or if you wear glasses be sure to bring them with you.
