Join multidisciplinary artist Sarah Johnston for a unique creative workshop in Darwin, Northern Territory, exploring experimental object-making and sculpture through found materials and mixed media
Sarah brings international experience from Germany and Estonia, offering insight into contemporary small-scale, object-based art practices. The session begins with a talk and discussion on her work and influences, alongside an introduction to key contemporary artists in the field.
Participants will then move into a hands-on workshop using found and collected materials to create sculptural objects. Inspired by marquetry techniques, you’ll experiment with composition, form, and storytelling through materials.
This workshop is ideal for artists, makers, and curious beginners interested in contemporary sculpture, mixed media, and material-led practice in Darwin.

Class subject to cancellation due to insufficient bookings. If a class is cancelled for this reason, a full refund will be issued.
Cancellations with full refund can be made up until 2 weeks prior to workshop commencement, however individual classes will not be refunded due to nonattendance.
