Join us for an exciting workshop designed for young creatives aged 13 to 25. Dive into the world of cyanotype and mixed media and discover the magic of combining techniques to create unique artworks. This workshop is all about the process, learning new techniques, and having fun with creative experimentation.
What to Expect:
- Hands-On Learning: Experiment with various media applications, learn tricks of the trade, and then break some rules along the way!
- Diverse Techniques: Learn all about Cyanotype (a direct printmaking technique that uses sunlight and stencils to create rich blue and white imagery on paper and fabric) Combine this technique with stitching, drawing, painting, and other printmaking techniques switching between small-scale and larger works, fabric and paper.
- Collaborative and Individual Projects: Create both collaborative pieces and individual works.
- Exhibit: Work from this workshop will be selected to form part of our inaugural Youth Vibe exhibition as part of Tactile Arts 2026 exhibition program. The young artists and their friends and families will be invited to a special opening night to celebrate their achievements.
Why Join? This fun and engaging workshop aims to foster a love for creative experimentation where discoveries are more important than the final pieces (although there’s bound to be some masterpieces created along the way!)
Please note: This workshop explores some new materials and techniques so previous attendees are welcome to sign up and extend their learning.

Friday 23rd January | 10am to 1:30pm with a half hour break for lunch

Dress Code: Dress for a mess! Wear studio clothes and closed in footwear.
