Upcoming Exhibition: Textures of the Top End
Textures of the Top End showcases the work of two artists working with different mediums but commonly inspired by the natural world.
Eric Nunn combines silver-smithing and precise stone-cutting to create one-off and limited-edition jewellery pieces. Inspiration comes mostly from the natural patterns and shapes of the stones themselves, or from scenes from the natural environment.
He is joined by Kylie Frewen-Lord who uses the techniques of paper making, collage and needle arts to bring to life the unique fauna and flora of the Top End. Her work is showcased in collaged originals, digitally printed homewares and unique lighting.
The exhibition will be officially opened by Dr Wendy Garden, Curator of Australian Art, MAGNT at 5:30pm, Friday 23 June.
23 June - 16 July
Hours: Tues to Fri, 10am to 4pm
