In this workshop, participants will get all the skills and techniques of lino cutting.
Lino cutting is a printmaking technique in which a drawing can be traced or drawn onto the surface and then cut out with V and U shaped tools, taking away the parts of lino where you want to leave white, and keeping the parts you want to be inked.
The lino is inked with a roller, then impressed onto paper or fabric with a hard roller. The lino tile can reproduce the same image over and over again in different colours.
Bring a t-shirt from home, skirt, dress, even set of pillowslips to create a unique handmade printed effect.
No experience necessary, just come and join in the fun.
Provided: two lino pieces, two tea towels and a tote bag.
