This body of prints, acrylic and watercolour paintings has been explored and developed while Anne McMaster has been Artist in Residence at Tactile Arts Printmaking Studio in Darwin. The proximity of the studio to Darwin’s coastal fringes has led her investigations into what the idea of “drift” may represent.
Notions of floating, moving on water, comings and goings and tidal zones are some of the tropical coastal aesthetics of Darwin that are communicated in the artworks.
