In this four-hour etching and printmaking workshop, you'll learn how to etch using a 15cm x 15cm aluminium plate and a non-toxic salt/sulphate etching solution — a safer and accessible alternative to traditional acid etching.
You will explore the technique of drawing onto a plate with a sharpie pen and bitumen ground to achieve design work and tonal aquatints.
Bring along your visual diary, design sketches, or line art ideas to inspire your plate design.
