In this engaging mandala painting workshop, kids are creating intricate circular designs on the smooth rounded stones of Darwin beach rocks, known as Porcellanite.
Kids learn how to paint mesmerising patterns using vibrant acrylic paints and dotting tools. Mandela means ’circle’ and starting from one centre point kids build up a repeated pattern of shapes both geometric and organic.
Mandela colours have symbolic meaning; blue represents the sky and infinity, green represents growth and renewal, yellow for energy, white for purity, while red symbolises strength and power.
By the end of the class, they'll leave with beautifully adorned mandala stones that reflect their unique style and energy, perfect as decorative pieces or thoughtful gifts.
