Would you like to develop some of your own glazes? This short course will give you an introduction to:
- Glaze materials and what they are used for.
- Looking at glazes and the language of glazing.
- How to introduce local materials.
- How to do a Biaxial Line blend.
- Common glaze faults and how to fix them.
- Discussion of firing techniques.
Three Wednesdays
8 to 22 September
6pm to 8pm
All materials are provided, please wear close toed shoes and sensible clothing. Students are encouraged to bring examples of glazes they'd like to create, local minerals they'd like to experiment with and glaze faults they'd like to correct.
Minimum class size 5, maximum 8. Class subject to cancellation due to insufficient bookings in which case fees paid will be refunded. Full student refunds can be issued up to 7 working days prior to commencement, however individual classes will not be refunded due to nonattendance.
