Sophia creates primarily small-batch, functional ceramics and strongly believes in the healing powers of clay, maintaining that artists can project a degree of consciousness into their works.

The aim of this 6-week course will be to assist intermediate/advanced throwers in refining their techniques for creating kitchenware, dinnerware sets and larger functional pieces. The tutor will demonstrate throwing and altering various forms. Experiment with different styles or further develop your own project ideas with guidance from the tutor.

All materials are provided, please wear closed in footwear, comfortable clothing, and bring an old towel.

Minimum class size 5, maximum 8. Class subject to cancellation due to insufficient bookings in which case fees paid will be refunded. Full student refunds can be issued up to 7 working days prior to commencement, however individual classes will not be refunded due to nonattendance.
