Janie Andrews

Janie Andrews is an artist and facilitator based in Darwin whose work encompasses textiles, mosaics and murals. Whilst at her rural Darwin studio Janie designs and creates one off artworks in textiles and mosaic for exhibitions, retail outlets and commissions. These works reflect the natural bush land setting. Janie is passionate about the incredible nature surrounding her, a major reason for relocating from her London base 18 years ago!

Janie believes in sharing her knowledge and skills through her work as Visiting Artist and travels widely to communities throughout the Territory to develop and implement incredible works of art with local people. These experiences further stimulate ideas in her work. Learning whilst creating, this two way process of listening and learning from others whilst making art works is what Janie loves to develop and grow from.

Janie returns to Europe each year to share her work in open workshops and informal presentations.
