With Master Printer Mats Undén
This workshop runs across four Sunday afternoons, and you will learn how to develop and print photopolymer plates, also known as solar plate or sun plate. There are many types of printmaking, and different techniques to make marks in a plate. In this workshop we will focus on the solar plate – a plastic plate, that when exposed in the sun produces a print similar to etching. You will learn how to prepare papers and inks, and how to set up the press and register your plates for best printing results. We will further develop our artworks, combine multiple plates, and experiment with colours. If time permits, we will print a small edition, well registered, on clean and flat paper, which then can be numbered and signed.
