Made from recycled glass that would normally end up as landfill, Meng Hoeschle collects old window louvres and glass off-cuts for her unique pieces.
Meng draws inspiration from the cycads on her bush block, located in Humpty Doo in the Northern Territory. She also features coloured enamels, floral designs, and even bones or copper wire fused between sheets of glass in her work.
Meng makes all of her own moulds from clay and sometimes uses stainless steel platters or even corrugated iron mini orb.
