Made from recycled glass that would normally end up as landfill, Meng Hoeschle collects old louvres and offcuts for her  unique pieces. She draws inspiration from the cycads on her bush block in Humpty Doo in the N.T. and places the frond on the glasss sheet and then coloured enamel powder is dusted over it. She also uses coloured decal paper to cut the floral designs and at times even fuses bones or copper wires between sheets of glass. She makes all her own moulds from clay and sometimes uses stainless steel platters or even corugated iron mini orb.
