Weave and manifest your hopes and dreams for positive change. Learn new skills or expand upon existing knowledge to explore the use of several basketry processes used throughout the world. Use unexpected and surprising materials with a focus on recycled and sustainably sourced fibres, including upcycled plastic and clothing and marine debris obtained from local beaches. Develop an understanding of what materials work best with which contemporary basket making techniques and why. Investigate and challenge the definition of basket so as to cultivate an appreciation of the boundaries involved within the discipline with the intention of bending and redefining these confines to make your own one-of –a kind basket or woven sculpture.
