Following a 35 year career in the seafood industry, both as a professional fisher and industry advocate, Lyn now focuses on her key passion for raising awareness of the many problems caused by plastics in the ocean. She uses ghost net (lost or discarded fishing gear) and other recycled materials to create mixed media wearable artworks and fibre sculptures. Her pendants, earrings, bracelets, and baskets are made with undyed netting and rope material, crocheted or woven around rock or glass collected from the beaches and islands of the Northern Territory. Each piece of sea glass used in Lyn's pieces are found by Lyn on Northern Territory beaches.
