with Melanie Tribe
This course is an introduction to the basic concepts of warm glass work - will learn a range of simple techniques to cut and decorate a small bowl glass. At the completion of the workshop, your artwork will be fired in a kiln.
Melanie Tribe is a local artist working in multiple mediums over the years. Her main focus is now fused glass and needle felting – and she has been working with both mediums for many years.
Mel's main source of inspiration for both mediums are the critters that surround us – mainly our wonderful local fauna (plus the occasional pet).
Mel says: "The aim of this workshop is to share my love (and occasional frustration) of working in fused glass. I was hooked since I did my first workshop at Tactile Arts many years ago."
