Sunkissed Silver

Handmade bohemian jewellery inspired by our Australian coastal lifestyle. Made for pure silver beads and charms, sterling silver findings and semi-precious stones.

My name is Annabel and I am the creator of Moobel and its crochet creations. I was first enamoured by the art of crochet as a young girl, helping my Danish mother crochet bikinis and other accessories for shops. Now, as an adult I have rediscovered my love for this craft and also my love for yarn and its various colours and textures. These hand-made crochet earrings are inspired by the warm, vibrant yet comforting colours of this landscape and the birds that I have come to love and see around my home here in Darwin and its surrounds where I have lived for nearly 30 long warm welcoming blanket  years. They are all made from using 100% cotton and linen yarns with sterling silver ear hooks and just like birds and the coastal reserve the earrings are all completely unique.

Ikuntji Artists was the first art centre established by women in the Western Desert Art Movement. The art centre was initially set up to fulfil the role of women’s centre providing services such as catering for old people and children in the community. After first experiences made in printing T-shirts, the artists began producing acrylic paintings on linen and handmade paper, which quickly gained the attention of the Australian and international art world as well as earning the centre an impressive reputation for fine art.
