Learn to silver solder in this popular workshop, making a sterling silver gemstone ring. Choose a gemstone from a variety of 18 mm x 13 mm and 20 x 15 mm semi precious stones, such as turquoise, malachite, amethyst, agate, rose quartz and many more stones.
Upon booking, participants will receive an email with instructions on simple silver soldering and safety in the studio. Participants will be able to follow step by step laminated diagrams for making the ring and they will be given a demonstration by the tutor before starting their jewellery piece. Choose a decorative or plain bezel and ring band, then solder, file and polish your ring to completion.
This activity uses butane gas powered, hand held torches which are simple and easy to use on small jewellery pieces.
Wear covered shoes and bring a water bottle. Safety glasses and aprons are provided.

Minimum class size 5, maximum 8. Class subject to cancellation due to insufficient bookings in which case fees paid will be refunded. Full student refunds can be issued up to 7 working days prior to commencement, however individual classes will not be refunded due to nonattendance.
