with Master Printer Mats Undén

During four Sunday mornings you will learn the basics of intaglio printmaking. There are many types of printmaking, and different ways to make marks in a plate. In this workshop we will focus on drypoint, and you will learn how to create and develop a suitable artwork directly into a plate. You will learn how to prepare papers and inks, and how to set up the printing press for best printing results. We will further develop our artworks and look at different ways to make marks, and techniques to introduce multiple colours. If time permits, we will print a small edition, well registered, on clean and flat paper, which then can be numbered and signed.
